Art Teacher at St. Barnabas Catholic School, Indianapolis, Indiana. Taught art to grades Pre-k through 8th grade.

Associate Instructor at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, Herron School of Art + Design, Indianapolis, Indiana. Teaching those pursuing their master of art therapy experimentation and development with mixed media.

Handling and packaging art. Archiving and photographing prints from the Herron School of Art + Design inventory.

 

Fall 2019 - Fall 2020
Marketing Studio Intern at AMACO - American Art Clay Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. American Art Clay Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. Test tile production artist (hand built and slip cast). Packing test tiles for shipment. Designing and creating attractor pieces for classroom lesson plans and Glaze in the Blank contests. Fabricating cups and clay chips for Dick Blick’s rebranding of their AMACO inventory. Repairing the marketing kilns. Tested glazes for the yearly glaze testing.

 

Summer 2019
Teaching Artist at the Speed Art Museum, Louisville, Kentucky. Constructed lesson plans. Was the lead instructor for summer camps ages 6-9. Camps consisted of art history in the galleries and hands-on projects.

2017 - 2019

Art Sparks Facilitator at the Speed Art Museum, Louisville, Kentucky. Surveil Art Sparks and make sure Art Sparks is in orderly fashion. I instruct and educate K-12th grade art projects for school field trips, along with once a month I teach Art Lab. I periodically read children’s books related to art works in the Speed’s collection to children.

 

Summer 2018
Wall Together Summer Ceramic Camp Teacher at the Speed Art Museum Louisville, Kentucky. Taught children from ages 5-9 how to make clay slabs, slab boxes, pinch pots, and the application of glaze.

 

Summer 2015
Intern at Pat Harrison Art Center Gallery, Arts Council of Southern Indiana,
New Albany, Indiana. I undertook the public outreach by contacting local businesses to partake in the Monarch Festival. I oversaw social media strategy and marketing. I also executed gallery set up and take down.

Volunteer Experience

 

2018 - 2019

Southern Crossing Pottery Festival (SXPF). I assisted the artists with sales, broke down the festival, picked up and distributed soup for empty bowls for A Recipe to Cure Hunger and Carole’s Kitchen along with wrapping the bowls sold during empty bowls.

 

2015 - 2016
Kids in Need. I conducted backpack build for kids who need backpacks and school supplies.

 

2013 - 2016
American Cancer Society. I aided booths at Relay for Life. I also coordinated 3 Ribbons for Life fundraisers.

 

2013 - 2015
National Kidney Foundation. I assisted with passing out water bottles and pompoms for cheering on those walking. I also cheered on those walking.

 

2013 - 2015
Open Door Youth Shelter. I devoted my time to spend time with the teenagers residing there.
